The Minister for Defense of Venezuela, Vladimir Padrino López said this Sunday after the election day, that through the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the Citizen Security Agency, managed to stop the advances and sabotage attempts, to fill the country with terrorism, blood and fascism, which were planned by sectors of the extreme right.

“We have stopped the threats and guaranteed the people of Venezuela their security. The people went out today, freely and consciously, to the streets of the country to exercise their vote, they moved with complete freedom and we guaranteed security in the voting centers,” Padrino stated.

Padrino recalled that Venezuela is a country that is “permanently being threatened by an extremist minority that wants violence, scorched earth, death, desolation for Venezuela.”

In this regard, the FANB minister emphasized that the people have stood up to tell these groups and the entire world that is “enough with the aggressions, manipulations, lies, and communication blockade,” he highlighted.

On the other hand, he highlighted the excellent performance of the FANB throughout the development of Operation Republic and their dedication to safeguarding the country’s electoral material and infrastructure.

“Operation Republic has fulfilled its schedule of activities accompanying the National Electoral Council (CNE), therefore I must congratulate the brothers of the FANB and transmit to the entire FANB the congratulatory greetings from our Commander in Chief, Nicolás Maduro Moros,” he said.
